Driving Lead Generation

I came across a good article the other day on Small Business Trends that was written by Tyler Garns, Director of Marketing for Infusionsoft.  He discusses 6 strategies to help you increase new lead generation, without breaking the bank. You might want to check out his article in more detail, but he suggests that you should:

  • “Focus on Lead Capture.  Establish a standard process for your business to capture lead information during any interaction with a potential customer.”
  • “Use Local SEO.  Establish a Web presence for your business and optimize your website.” Consider utilizing Google Places to get noticed and the Google keyword tool to determine what phrases people might use to find you.  It’s also a good idea to get involved with popular bloggers and consider using social media to drive traffic to your site.
  • “Segment Your Contact Database.  Get the right message to the right person at the right time by tracking behavior.”  Monitor your site, analyze the data and target future interactions, its that simple.
  • “Create Partnerships.”  Maybe it’s a bit obvious, but help others build businesses and have them help you build yours.
  • “Promote Local…[c]onsumers will buy local when it is convenient, when they have a relationship with you, and when they are informed.”
  • “Develop a Referral Strategy.  Create a methodical way to generate referrals.”  You will be far more successful executing against a well thought out plan.  You will also be able to evaluate your successes and failures to help refine your strategy and improve your marketing ROI and efficiency.
